Roz Purcell is the founder of The Hike Life community and one of Ireland’s leading voices on the value of getting outdoors, and the mental and physical benefits of a life lived in harmony with the natural world. Starting as a community of hikers who met across Ireland, The Hike Life has grown into a real force to be reckoned with, encouraging more people to get out and about and into the hills and mountains to
experience life on a new level.

For Roz herself, hiking is an escape, a getaway from the hectic world of phones and email, business and the pressures of the modern world. It’s a chance to be out in the open and a way to remember that we’re all part of something much bigger, as well as a way to make sure the feet are kept firmly on the ground! Most of all, hiking is Roz’s favourite way to recharge both mentally and physically.
