The Child of Prague is a small statue of the infant Jesus, traditionally placed outside the bride’s house the night before a wedding to ensure good weather for the ceremony. Some argue that the statue must be placed under a bush to prevent rain, others say that it must be beheaded, and others stipulate that its head must come off without human interference.
